This weekend we went camping at Fairhaven Beach with the Spindler and Youker families. Regardless of the mosquitos, swamp, trashed campsite, and hot, humid weather, the KIDS had a fabulous time! They cooked hot dogs over a campfire, roasted marshmallows for smores, caught fireflies, and just generally ran around a new and interesting place! We even squeezed in an hour or so at the beach. In the morning it was pouring rain, so it kinda killed our fishing and beach plans, but we still enjoyed it!

Don't give my kiddos any ideas....
We had a great time despite the rain and rocky ground! :) We have learned our lesson about checking out a campground prior to camping there to make sure we aren't getting a bad site.
