home again...

Max arrived home at around 4:15...not too bad for the first day of school. He stepped off the bus holding back a smile...all serious-like...carefully...when he got to the bottom step he looked both ways, then stepped off (without any prompting from the bus driver or me!)...into my arms. I hugged like he'd been gone for ages....he carefully crossed the street and flew into David's hug, beaming and looking back at the school bus. He's completely exhausted, much more than I would have imagined, so he not talking too much yet. I know that he sat next to his friend Braden both ways, he ate a small snack, his teacher is nice and smart, and there are no live animals in his classroom. I'll have to update you later I guess!
